Hello folks!!! I'm new at the whole "eating more to weigh less notion", however I'm a believer!!! I've been doing it less than a week, already lost 2.2lbs! Well with that being said. I thought it would be fun for us to post recipe ideas. I'll start.

I found a great recipe for protein pancakes

1 cup of vanilla protein
3 egg whites
2 tblspoons fat free cottage cheese
1/4 cup ground oats
1 tsp vanilla extract
Splenda to taste.

Mix egg whites, vanilla extract and cottage cheese together. Mix in dry ingrediants, coat pan with non stick cooking spray pour batter and flip just as pancakes until brown.

I tried these today, one pancake was 83 calories, 6 carbs, 12 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber. Not bad!!

Feel free to add more recipes!

These small bits of energy are delicious, addicting and good for you! Not as much protein as I hoped, but they are soooo yummy! It's a nice treat or desert. :)

    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    3/4 cup nonfat milk powder
    1/2 cup ground flaxseed
    1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup crushed cereal, such as Honey Bunches of Oats

One or two of the following:

    1/3 cup raisins
    1/3 cup Craisins
    1/3 cup sunflower nuts
    1/3 cup chocolate chips
    1/3 cup walnuts

    1. Combine peanut butter, milk powder, flaxseed, honey in a bowl and mix well. Stir in sunflower nuts and Craisins.
    2. Roll mixture in small bowls and then roll balls in crushed cereal. Place on waxed paper.
    3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

    Preparation time: 15 minutes

    Chill time: 1 hour

    Yield: 16 balls

    Peanut Butter/Chocolate/Banana Smoothie (DELISH)

    1 whole Banana(chopped )
2 tbsp creamy reduced fat peanut butter
    1 tbsp flax seed oil
1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa ( I use regular and/or dark chocolate)
1/2 cup of milk ( I use fat free)
    4-5 ice cubes
3-4 scoops of low fat frozen yogurt (about 1/2 cup)

Throw everything in your blender. Blend until smooth. You can choose to use more ice cubes if you like(depending on how thick you like it) I normally make mine before I get my day started and put in the freezer until I leave out for work.

Your ultimate chocolate "fix" for the morning!!!! Enjoy
