So I read a post about eating the calories you earn from working out and almost all of the people that responded said they eat their extra calories and all of these people have lost weight. Thoughts??

I believe you're supposed to eat your extra cals so your body doesn't think it's starving...Something about not having a deficit of more than -500..... I don't know, just feel guilty eating extra cals...cause I worked to hard to get rid of them!!!!

I think it's more about how and when you're eating those calories - if I reward a long run with a hot fudge sundae I'm not doing myself any favors :) but if I drink an extra protein shake before and have some extra chicken and veggies that night I'm replenishing enough that my body stays out of starvation mode with good food that can easily be digested.

With that said, if I'm in weight loss mode like I am now, it's definitely not a 1-for-1 trade off - I want some deficit!
