Water Kefir

I got my water kefir grains yesterday and they are dehydrated. I also got my half gallon jar so I am going to send it through the dishwasher and then start fermenting coconut water kefir this afternoon.

I am so excited!!!

    They are still in the fridge. Maybe I should start it today as it is rainy and I am stuck in the house with the dogs.

    Are kefir grains actually grain like rice and wheat?? Just wondering.. I would love to make coconut kefir but my family can't tolerate grains

    How did yours come out? I just sampled my first batch of water kefir, flavored with lemons and blackberry, and was really pleased with it.
