    Personally, I think it creates the wrong impression of what paleo/primal is all about.

    It's an easy way to explain the food chioces to "non" paleo people though. When I described my new diet to my BF his first response what citing this article (or something similar) that had been discussed on public radio and the foods I eat all made sense to him based on that.

    In my personal opinion I think "what paleo/primal is all about" also varies widely from person to person based on your beliefs about food and science. If you choose the lifestyle because you think it will make you more like a predator, match what cavemen ate, or as a sensible eating method, then the action from your beliefs - your food and lifestyle choices -are all still the same.
