I just moved to Level 2 but for all levels I am logging it as "Circuit Training, General." A lot of my friends who shred are logging it this way. For me, it says that burns 210 calories for 20 minutes (changes based on weight) but I am pretty sure I burn more. Underestimating it is better than overestimating it. The only other way to accurately track calories burned is by using a heart rate monitor during the exercise.0

If I'm not wearing my HRM (need a new battery) I also log as circuit training general. That gives me less than wearing my HRM but I'd rather underestimate than eat too much.0

ok thank you ladies man im sooooooooo sore lol but feeling good0

ok for me is 318 calories SWEET lol0

Unfortunately it depends on weight, heart rate etc so best to do it using a HRM as i found mine only burnt 110 calories0

Not to be nosy, but can I ask how much you weigh? I am wondering if I am overestimating my calories burned.0 -
I weigh 214 and my average heart rate for the most part is usually around 154... for 20 min that is a total of 300 calories (((*I used a formula from this website >> http://www.livestrong.com/article/203354-how-to-know-how-many-calories-are-burned-a-minute/ )) to determine how many calories are burned based on my heart rate/weight/gender/age.0

I also log it as circuit training. I'm 5'6 150lbs and I bought a HRM to see how much I am acutally burning. It ranges from 196 (on a lazy day) to 265 cals (when I give it my all). Best investment I've made!0

Does your HRM tell you how many cals you have burned? Or do you just monitor your heart rate?
I don't have one and was wondering what difference it makes to your exercise log than just using the details already in the database...0 -

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who registers low on the calorie burn. I have a Bodymedia armband and it reports that I only burn 117-120 calories for both L1 and L2. Much less than MFP's "Circuit Training - General" gives me. I think the calories burned varies widely by person.0 -

This wasn't directed at me, but I'll jump in anyway since my monitor says I burn only 117-120. I am 5', 143 lbs. I also know that I have slower than average metabolism (I was tested for this at a health clinic). MFP says I burn 217, so it's 100 calories off.0 -
Months ago i tried 30ds and felt like I was dying. I am ready to try again but recently broke my DVD player so I will start in a week or so. I didn't realize that there could be such a difference in calories burned. I have wanted to get a HRM because I'm interested in making sure my HR gets into a fat burning zone? While working out. Now I really need one because I've been depending on MFP for calorie counts that could be off0
