Happy happy Monday Wellness Warriors!

My apologies on the delay of this post. My internet service was down for just a lil bit. I did attempt to manage it through my phone, only to discover that you can't access "groups" via their mobile software.

But no worries...There isn't much new for today. First off is checking in with our bodies.

How's your belly treating you? You may find yourself a little constipated, or perhaps you're experiencing the opposite - often known as having the "scoots." :) Either way, it's pretty normal. You're cleansing and rebuilding while flooding and flushing. The payoff comes with consistency. Fiber is like dumbbells for your tubes, making them stronger. Perhaps you're eliminating like a champ (one to three times per day) and you wonder it that's natural. Yes! If you're visiting the loo more than usual, rejoice. If not, check out products like Oxy-Mag or Natural Calm and a good probiotic. Your Smooth Move tea should also be helping, mixed with a bottle of Kombucha, you'll be good to go. Pun intended.

FOCUS
Notice your bowels today. We were taught not to poop or puff. Undo that ridiculous domestication. Gas is good. Poop is great. Tight jeans are silly. Let your belly and intestines breathe.

POSITIVE SELF TALK
Sometimes I'm really uptight and impatient. Please help me turn my pounding fists into open receiving hands.

AFFIRMATION
I let go with ease. I am a clear channel. Energy flows through me, and all good things come to me.

GOD POD MAINTENANCE
Speaking of constipation, chemical-laden deodorants constipate your armpits. Check out skindeep.org for deodorant suggestions. Hugo Naturals and Tom's produce some really nice ones. My fave is Tom's Apricot. And yes, natural does work. Mines last all through the day, my workouts, and then some. So be kind to your pores and give it a try.

TIP
If you're experiencing gas or bloating, try to be more consistent about food combining. For example, fruits (simple sugars) digest really quickly. If you pair fruits with a dairy or other heavy protein, the fruit gets stuck behind the slow moving protein (kinda how when you're stuck on the highway behind a car going 30 mph). The food wants to jump ahead, but it can't, the protein is much heavier and stronger, thereby blocking the way. The fruits then sits in your intestine fermenting and rotting, creating those lovely little gas bubbles. So when combining foods, think about what goes well together and in what order. Fruit first. Less fibrous veggies next. Then all the fibrous stuff, followed by the slower digesting whole grains and proteins.

You can help your body along during those heavier mixed meals by taking a digestive enzyme tablet, found in most health food stores. You might also want to try drinking water only before and after you eat, not during.

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE
To help our digestion and bowels move along today, drink an ounce of water for every 2 lbs of your body weight + 16 more ounces to simulate a flush.

Good luck everyone!
