I'm new here and want to thank you all for all the invaluable information that has been shared here!
Vo2Max..............Anyone heard of this?
This is where my dietician put this mask over my face and calculated how many calories I burn at rest.
She told me to eat 1500 on rest days and eat 1800 on workout days. This was done nearly 8 years ago, tho.
When I figure out my BMR, it tells me 1700 something.
Do y'all think I should use the 1500 or the 1700 as my BMR? I'm thinking to just use 1700 as my jumping off point, since my TDEE - 15% is around 2200.
Sometimes this all seems so confusing to me, and other times I am so stumped!!!

My gut is telling me that you should go with the dietician's recommendation, however, 8 years ago you would have been 28, with presumably an even higher bmr, so that 1500 seems a bit low. Was your weight about the same back then? Were you given those numbers to lose or maintain weight? If you've tried the1500/1800 cal route and weren't happy, I'd give the 1700/2200 intake a try. If after 4-6 weeks, you don't like what you're seeing, you can adjust it, or even get an update from your dietitian.0 -

Actually, I was about 15 lbs heavier at the time of the test. These were the numbers she gave me for weightloss achievement.
Seems so low, but I have PCOS, so maybe it was right????
