I am going to be starting the program next week. I was wonder is it better to start on a treadmill or just go out and hit the sidewalk, or is it just a preference ?

Welcome! I started on the treadmill. Actually, I'm still on the treadmill. I want to actually be able to run before I move outside because I'm self conscious, also I have young children and I have more flexibility to run when I want to if I do it on my treadmill at home. However, if you are comfortable with outside then outside you go. I hear its a little harder because of the ups and downs and the unevenness of the pavement, but I think that if you intend to run outside ultimately, then why not start your training there?0
