Hi Wellness Warriors!
Yesterday you set about acknowledging your frustrations and anger. Today, start paying attention to those moments when you feel --- out of the blue --- fabulous! Many people experience a sense of well-being and even euphoria in the middle of a cleanse. You're eating a lot of mood foods -- stuff that's better than Prozac with fewer side effects. Love these feelings and they'll love you back by multiplying. Love yourself and the world around you and you'll experience heaven on earth. If you have a hard time pinpointing what you love, maybe you're just out of practice. I'll help you jog your memory!
FOCUS
Make a love list - ten things you absolutely love. Love is magnetic force that attracts an infinite amount of goodness into our cells. Love makes us radiant. Notice the love and invite it to tea. Give your darlings validation no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. This simple act reminds us that life is full of blessings. It's amazing how many beautiful things we notice when we train our eyes.
POSITIVE SELF TALK
Allow me to notice the miracles and majesty in my life - noticing the magic helps me notice myself.
AFFIRMATION
I love how wonderful I feel and I am so incredibly proud of myself, right now, today.
GOD POD MAINTENANCE & PHYSICAL CHALLENGE
If it's nice out like it is here in NY, take a bike ride. If it's crappy outside, crank up the heat to 75 Fahrenheit for 30 min and have a warm yoga session. Next, book a massage and write it in red ink on your calendar. It's your promise to love yourself. No backing out.
TIP
Sprout! Mung bean sprouts are an incredibly nutritious addition to your salad. You can find exact sprouting directions at sproutman.com. There are also some great videos on YouTube that demonstrate the How To. Here's a down-and-dirty version. Soak the beans in warm water overnight. Drain them in a colander and rinse several times over the course of a day or so. When their little tails grow to about an inch (or roughly the same length of the bean), they're ready to chow. Store them in the refrigerator. Or if you like me, stop by a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's and pick up a package.
i'M SHARING MY LOVE LIST OF 10
(in no particular order)
1. I'm LOVING how I'm feeling right now! So much energy. So vibrant. So full of life!!
2. I love my 2 rescue cats (who at this moment, are insisting with head butts that my hands should be petting them instead of typing.)
3. I love that after a 115+ weight loss that I can actually move. I can run long distances. I can hold my own in yoga. And I can hike, zipline, and rock climb with the best of them.
4. I love my family - even the crazy ones.
5. I love sharing my cooked creations with friends.
6. I love making gifts for friends and family and watching the smiles it puts on their faces.
7. I love learning new things.
8. I love Leela James, the most played artist on my IPOD right now.
9. I love playing board games where I get to act the fool - and most importantly - watch others act a fool while I secretly have my cell phone camcorder on record.
10. I love my MFP friends!!! They keep me honest to myself and inspired to continually reach the next level.
