Level 2

I only did level 1 for 6 days and decided to push myself to do level 2, and I did it twice the first day. Needless to say, I was sore the next day, but I pushed through and have been consistent with it. I was wondering though, has anyone else experienced pain in the wrists? I have a long way to go and am currently at 172, maybe it's because I am so heavy?0

Okay, I need a vent moment! I am on level 2 day 5 of the 30ds and have not lost one single pound!! So frustrated!!!!! I have only taken one complete day off from the shred. I do cardio 5x a week. I take in about 1200 calories a day. Burning between 300-500. Am I doing something wrong?!? I told myself I wouldn't measure again until i finished the program but I'm thinking maybe I should. Not seeing the numbers go down on the scale is so discouraging! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks ladies
I have had the same issue. Get one of those measuring tapes that people use when sewing, and measure around your waist, hips, thighs, etc. Then do it again when you finish this level and you will definitely see a difference! :bigsmile:0 -
Day One, Level Two Complete! I watched level 2 on L1D8, just to get a sense of what was coming. There were definitely some things that I liked more about Level 2. The moves seem a bit more entertaining, so that's nice. But those planks! I also feel like this workout differs significantly from Level 1 in that it gets progressively harder. For me, the first circuit of Level one was the toughest-- after that there were still some tough moves here and there but they were spaced out with exercises that I didn't struggle with. With level two it seems to just get harder throughout the whole workout, ending with that brutal cardio and ab portion of circuit three.
I am really feeling it in my knees, which is not an area I've struggled with so far in the shred. Day 2 tomorrow.
Have mercy, Jillian!0 -
Today is my last day on level 2, I was going to be done with it yesterday but I took friday off since one of my wrists was killing me. I let it rest fro the weekend and on Monday I started again and everything was fine. Ugh! I can't wait to be over with level 2, i just don't like all those planks. And yesterday I stepped on my scale and it says I drop 1 pound, YAY!! Ok, level 3, here I come. I know is LVL 3, and it is not easy, but, at least I know it doesn't have that many planks.
For all of you who are still in level 2: You can do it! If you are like me and you're not a big fan of level 2, just think one day at a time and you'll be out of it soon. I will definitely do a 2nd round of 30DS, not sure when, but I will do it just because this was my 1st JM DVD, and this is one work out that works on me and makes me feel great. My stamina is better than a month ago. I bought the extreme shed and shred last saturday, and I watched it on monday, it looks more fun but I know I will end all red/purple and sweating too much, just like I do now with 30DS. I love JM DVDs.0 -
I did L2D1 today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I stayed half and half with anita and whats her name. lol
There is a lot of plank work in level two, but thank goodness for all the pushups and crunches in level 1! I am stronger and can actually participate in the plank work. I had to stop and rest during one of them, I can't remember which one. I like the change in work out though.0 -
ok, I don't really like level 2. I am only on day 3 of it, and I have 7 more days to go on it. Uggg! I swear I feel like it is getting harder with each day instead of more doable. Probably not, but that is how today feels.0

WOO HOO last day of Level 2 tomorrow So excited to be finished it! It is definitely much tougher than level 1 I think, but in saying that each day it is getting that TINY bit easier! Jillian Michaels is really starting to annoy me so I turn the DVD on mute to block her out and listen to music. This helps me get through it WAY easier0

I haven't tried it yet but apparently there are audio options on the DVD to have just music playing. I usually can't hear her all that well b/c I have the TV pretty low since my kids are usually still sleeping plus I can't hear over my own wheezy breath. :laugh:0 -
Thanks I'm definitely going to do that so0

I am still plugging away. I did day 7 of level 2 today. Almost finished with it. I have had a tough time getting through this level. All the work on the arms makes doing the last circuits so hard. But I am pushing through. I did the oblique twists without resting! Woohoo! I am definitely seeing results ladies! I am losing inches and weight. I don't really do any other work outs. Just this one. I have before pics so maybe i will take some after pics too. Keep on going guys!0

I am still on level 2. I have one more day and then level 3 on Monday. I have been doing 30 DS 2 days, 1 day cardio, 30DS 2 days, 1 day cardio, 1 day rest.0 -
D1 of Level 2 yesterday, and I found it hard. I'll be trying the forearm planks mentioned earlier to see if that helps, but I think my core strength is going to be an issue.
Did 6Week6Pack instead tonight - I did plan to do both, but just wanted to collapse after the first 30 minutes.0
