What is everyone doing for their bonus/extra cardio, if at all? Are you only doing the required workout of the day or are you adding in a trip to the gym, a walk with your dog, maybe doing the cardio dvd provided, etc.? I have been doing the required workout of the day and then try to run 3 miles and/or hike with my dog on most days. I feel like doing just the required workout of the day is not enough. Thoughts?

I have not been adding in extra workouts like I thought I would because I just don't have the time. I have 4 kids all doing sports, so I spend a little time each afternoon practicing with them. I don't use my HRM during these practices, but I probably burn another 100-300 calories depending on the day. I just don't record this and consider it my extra boost :)

Hi! I'm new and just started the Body Revolution plan this morning and looking forward to it.
I do regularly walk for about 60 minutes per day total to and from work, so I will definitely be doing that. Also, because I am motivated today I chose to take an extra 45 minute walk during my lunch break today as well.

My body is so used to walking a lot so I'm definitely gonna keep that up and it should boost the JM workouts I do.

I have been continuing to attend yoga classes 2-3 days a week and do the regular leisurely walk with the dog.

Just one item to consider: JM built this program, as is, to get results. I recently completed a very similar program in structure (P90) that included only 30 minutes (or so) a day, 6 days a week for 90 days. I felt a bit resistant at first because I thought, "I can't possibly get strong results with working out so little." I was so used to working out intensely at least an hour a day. I kept my diet relatively clean (not even close to as clean as JM's recommendations), but kept my calories within the range recommended by MFP. I probably ate about 1/2 of my exercise calories back (I wasn't using my HRM so the burns looked higher available in the MFP directory for circuit training than they probably were). In the 90 days, I lost 38 lbs. I was shocked by the results I got. And that workout was far less intense even then the JM level 1 workouts.

I share this just because J. Michaels designed the program this way for a reason. On Facebook, it has been inferred that the individuals spotlighted from her test group followed the program and plan as designed. Their results speak for themselves.

My thoughts are: if there's something you love to do, then continue doing it in addition to the program. If you feel like you have to work out extra just to get results, I would allow the program to work. Just my 2 cents :).
