Can't Wait to Get off all liquids and add some soft foods

I think it's the aspect of not chewing, but I really want to start adding some soft foods, like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese. The jello helps, but it's bad when you start craving protein and not necessarily meat. Any suggestions?

You can't do yogurt yet? I was able to have non-fruit added (vanilla, honey, plain) during full liquid.

I did get some Greek yogurt in Vanilla and lemon flavor and I did try some probiotic kefir liquid yogurt, will did set fine on my stomach. I really only have a few days left of the liquids, but I think it's the whole aspect of being able to chew something.

I ha been bad and have added in some solids here and there the worst being chicken, which in all honestly did totally fine with it....it is the chewing factor. I am recognizing more and more when I am hungry and when I am full, the kraft simply cottage cheese is AMAZING....it just tastes SOOOOO good.

I did great with dried fruit too, a piece or two, for the chewy factor, worked great.

I was cooking steak for the fmaily, tried a TINY TINY piece, cant eat it, it put me out on the couch for awhile. Ill be afraid to touch it again .

I remember that feeling. It was the not chewing that drove me nuts. Try some gum it helps a little.

I didn't think I could do that because of the amount of air that would be taken in. I'll have to try it though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Different surgeons do it differently too. How long do you have to wait to eat? I'm in Arizona and my surgeon had us on liquids for only one week only then on to food! From week one to first month no raw veggies, beef or pork, but everything else. at the two month check we get everything back. Strange how different docs do it differently, You had laparoscopic surgery I assume?

After Tuesday I will be able to start adding in soft foods, such as yogurt, cottage cheese, and soups. It will definitely make a difference.
