I want to try this so badly. They don't have it on the android market, yet. Do you know of a way of contacting the people who made it? I'd like to request an android version. Do they have a website?0

Question: What do you all do with your phones/MP3 players when you run? Now that summers coming, I'm not sure where I'm going to stick my player (I usually don't exercise with my purse...).
I put it in my bra0 -
can this be done on a treadmill ...lol0

I downloaded it a few weeks ago and love it. I'm new to MFP so I thought I would join in the conversation. Current progress:

can this be done on a treadmill ...lol
Been eyeing the app for a while & when it was at 50% for the weekend, I grabbed it and tried it out in the gym yesterday on the treadmill using Accelerometer mode. Seems to work fine, though it didn't seem to detect the no. of paces I have that well (I see the no. increasing even when I paused to grab some water - I didn't pause the game, just my legs lol). I intend to head outdoors to try it sometime this week, to see if there's any diff with using the GPS mode instead... but yeah a short response to ur question would be: yes
Am wondering abt a few things myself though, wld be great if someone can clarify:
1. does it matter how fast/far you run/walk? It seems that the events in game are timer based rather than distance based. eg. getting to the hospital - is the hospital like xx-km/miles away or xx-min away?
2. the supplies. Went back to base to allocate my supplies & found out that I can put anything anywhere. eg. a pair of shorts can b placed in the hospital, living, even the food storage. Does the distribution of supplies matter? Or do the buildings level up simply by taking into the account the NUMBER and not the TYPE of supplies stashed?
3. is there a free run/walk mode? After I complete Mission One (I only got till the 25min mark b4 my foot hurt too bad to continue), will I b able to just go out for a walk or run to collect more supplies, or do I have to activate a mission to do that?0 -
My current 'Zombies, Run!' Progress: Tuesday April 10th
Mission 2
2.85km - 20 minutes
Zombie mobs encounted: 1 and I evaded it!!
Abel Township Population - 860 -
Ignore Question 2 & 3 that I've posted. Have figured out those by fiddling with the app. Still unsure about Question 1 though. If anyone knows, would b great :bigsmile:0

I *think* you're right - timer based. I've done 3 missions so far, and the only time the pace/distance mattered was when trying to evade the zombie mob. I left the app on for a bit while I was stretching and I still picked up an item or two! (Don't tell!)0 -
Current progress: Mission 8, 7.7 km, 47 minutes. Abel Township Pop 1550

:O that means I can pretty much play the game while sitting on the couch!! :laugh:0 -
Has anyone tried Zombie, Run! for Droid? Any good?
I've just downloaded it, and I'm gonna be trying it tonight.
Edit: Just booted it up. Looks like a really cheap knock off. I'll still give it a shot, but I'm still gonna be excited for when the real one comes out on Android.
Yeah we probably got the same one. Cheap (free at least) droid knock off. I can barely ever get it to work.
One time it did. I was very excited as I approached my first zombie. It had been complete silence but for the first time I was pumped to hear some zombie groans.
Know what happened? The phone vibrated. That's all. Not a sound. Cheap knock off.0 -

ah boo! that was anti-climatic...
I have to confess that I just got an android powered phone, for this app alone... yup...0 -
Android version can't be done fast enough They have it on schedule so far for May/June. Enough time for me to complete Couch to 5k at least, and get some serious running done when the app hits
And since this is the Geek Squid, probably no need to remind that May/June is in line with Diablo 3 release, when you need a break from one type of undead... the other will be waiting0 -

I was waiting for my plane at Gatwick Airport so I thought I would kill some time by walking around the departure lounge at a fast pace. I couldn't get a GPS fix so I switched the tracking to Accelerometer mode.

I just wanted to say that this app is the reason I've started running... and I haven't even bought the app yet! A friend of mine was telling me about it and I was like... damn, that sounds fun... but I can't for two minutes let alone thirty! So I started Couch-to-5k a month ago.... just so that I could get in good enough shape to use this app.
I hope it's worth it0 -

That is awesome, glad I'm not the only one who's training before I get the app!0 -
Downloading this app right now as we speak.
I'm brand new to MFP, so hearing about this is superb. I've never gone running before in my life, so hopefully this will be part of the motivation to keep at it!0 -
Still having fun evading zombies! Current progress: Mission 12 accomplished, Abel Township Pop 1840

I've heard of this game, looks like a lot of fun!0

I finished the last mission and talked about it and this was the response:
"So in Season 1, there are 23 story missions and 7 supply missions in the core game. So far we've released 22 story missions - which means there are 8 more to come, some of which will arrive in the next update. We're also working on further free and paid missions - in fact, we're recording them next week!
Plus there are plenty more tricks we have up our sleeve that we think you'll like..."
Yaaaay, more~!
edit: I also finished with a population of 254, but I'm going to repeat earlier missions until the updates.0 -
Quick run today. Mission 12, Abel Pop 1870

I went to the gym yesterday instead of running outside and tried it on the treadmill, since they updated it so you can have zombie chases on the accelerometer. It worked great!!0

Ok, when is it coming out on Android? I must have.0
