Paleo changing lives

So I have been following primal/paleo for awhile. About a month ago a friend from college emailed me and asked some questions. I told him to read about it - gave him links to some of the bigger websites as well as a bunch of links to paleo friendly blogs I like. I told him the pros and the cons and told him he really had to read and make up his own mind about if he could make a change. I did tell him the first week is hard and if he really wanted to see if it made a change mentally and physically he had to do it for a good three weeks without much deviation.
He emailed me yesterday. He has been doing it for a month and feels great mentally and physically he lost 18 lbs (his wife lost 10). Now some of that weight is probably from portion size control but he told me he is sleeping better and his almost constant heartburn is gone and he has more energy throughout the day.
He said once he got about 10 days into it he found his groove and didn't find it difficult at all to maintain eating in the paleo realm.

I agree, the first week was the hardest for me...well, maybe the first five days. I struggled with not feeling too good, feeling like my sugar levels had dropped, which I'm sure they did. But after about 5 days, I've felt fine...ever since. It's been since Dec 1 of last year and I'm still plugging away at it0
