I'm a major fan of scandanavian crime but think i've exhausted most authors at this stage. Can anyone recommend anyone other than the following: Steig Larsson, Asa Larsson, Henning Mankell, Jan Costin Wagmer, Arnalder indridisson, Per Wahloo, Karin Fossum and Ake Edwardson!! Thanks

    Although I have an interest in this area I haven't really got far with reading much, I think my interest peaked after watching "The Killing", but I thought I would reply as I wasn't sure where you are but I watched a documentary done by the bbc on this area of fiction, not sure if you will be able to see it but there are good links on the page that might help;

This is a list I had compiled some time ago:

    Tursten, Helene
    Ekman, Kerstin
    Fossum, Karin
    Indridason, Arnaldur
    Jungstedt, Mari
    Eriksson, Kjell
    Nasser, Hakan
    Larsson, Asa
    Larsson, Stieg
    Hellberg, Björn
    Lapidus, Jens
    Alvtegen, Karin
Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström (thriller/action type, eventually)
    Edwardson, Ake
    Siggursdottir, Yrsa (Iceland)
    Läckberg, Camilla
    Nesbo, Jo (nutcase)

Out of this list I didn't particularly like Mari Jungstedt (can't remember why except that I made a note of 'boring' beside her name. And I don't remember anything about Kerstin Ekman, so I either haven't read anything by her or she was not memorable to me.

That should read 'Hakan Nesser' not Nasser, apologies.
Also, this is a really good site that I just found: http://scandinavianbooks.com/index.html
