What kind of shoes do you all wear? I've just purchased a pair of Asics Trabuco 14. I've had Asics only once before and had the gel leak out of the bottom of the shoe and fill with water (yes it rains where I live). I took them back and got new shoes, but have been having problems with people selling me the wrong shoes. Somewhere along the road I was placed in pronating shoes, yet I have a high arch and lately developing knee & hip pains. Hopefully, I'm back on the right track again with a neutral shoe. I've just purchased a pair of Mizuno Wave Rider 14 for road wear and am involved in a minimal shoe study starting next week and have a pair of NB MT 10, but will not be using them on trails for the study.
I'd be interested to hear other peoples experiences. I do shop at specialty stores (running), but find some (lots/most) are arrogant and only want to sell you what they want to sell you and not what you want or need and other staff will bend over backwards to help you and really listen. I live in a small community and really only have one shoe store to select from. When I'm in bigger communities, I do stop in running shops, but find almost the same sort of treatment there too.

Vibram Bikilas indoors; Runamocs by Softstar, cheap aqua shoes, or Merrill Pace Gloves outside on the local trails. After today's hike up from moorland to snow I've decided to invest in something by Inov-8, but haven't decided what to try yet. Where I live there are only two stores that sell minimal shoes and the salespeople always try to tell me not to get them... ("You overpronate" etc. etc.)
I buy shoes online and have good experience with returns when necessary.0
