I am still educating myself on the dietary appoaches... haven't started yet. I love to cook and eat so many kinds of healthy foods and also have a family to cook for so it has been hard to eliminate a food group. However, I am following along with the group and find it all very interesting. My specialist for fibromyalsia says she eats this way and feels way better for it.

Hi 6mimi, thanks for posting! I don't think you have to "start" any big dietary plan to post here. I find even if I eat "on plan" even some of the time it helps immensely.0

My Dr. said that too. She says she eats this way most of the time but has a little something off course every now and then and it does not bother her much. I think I may soon start leaning my way into this approach.0

I'm still researching this topic. I've had a ton of trouble with my stomach and GURD the past couple of years. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was wrong. Then I stumbled upon the idea the antibiotics had killed most of the good bacteria in my gut and candida had taken over. ( I had a very bad bout with a chronic sinus infection that lasted almost a year. I was on strong antibiotics most of that time) I started taking Oregano Oil and Probiotics and these have helped quite a bit. Every once in a while, though, I will get a flare up- Usually around a holiday when there are LOTS of sweets around. I am contemplating doing a cleanse and then going on the no sugar/ no grains diet for a month just to really get myself on the right track. Still haven't done it yet though because of the time involved with the cleanse and the difficulty with meals.0

Thanks for the comments 6mimi and Roseisrose311.
Roseisrose311, what I find helps me to think about is that many meals I would have eaten anyway are naturally "on plan".. it's just a matter of cooking more meals like that and getting used to a recipe rotation with things that you like that are on plan.
Today I had curried chicken with brown rice and lentil soup for example. All stuff I like anyway and have eaten for years.. just now I eat it because it fits the plan too.
Keep us updated on your efforts!!!0
