Please help me! People tell me to eat more, eat less, weight lift, do more cardio! This is my info...
BW 152 January
CW 136 (on a good day)
GW 130
I eat 1400, eat 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. I eat 4 or 5 5 times a day and drink a protein shake post workout. I went to health and welness and did the bod pod to see my body fat and see how many calores I should eat. The lady told me to lift and eat 1400 and NOT to eat back my work out cals except a shake worth (200 ish) I work off around 600 a day when I work out. I dont care as much about the number on the scale but my body fat percentige but need help on building muscle at home with no weights. Does Zumba help with building muscle? I just need friends that are going through the same thing and help! THANK YOU!

I think your post sounds like a lot of us. I know that I am having the same struggles. All I can say is to try different things. You know what everyone is telling you, well, just start working on some of the suggestions til you find one that works.
I did Zumba for about two years. It will burn calories but it doesn't do much for building muscles. You need to lift for that. I stopped Zumba when it stopped helping me. I am into spinning now. I also lift weights twice a week. This really tones me.

You should be lifting to build muscle and it sounds like you are not getting enough calories. If you eat 1400 and burn 600 you are way too low. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but you should not be netting less than 1200 per day.0

zsaoosh. Your post sounds exactly like my situation... I am 5'3 Current weight 135. Goal weight 130, Body fat percentage is 30% (would like this to be more like 26%) .. I have been eating around 1200 calories. Signed up for 3 sessions with a trainer at the gym. She says to up calories to 1400. I am weight training 3 times a week and an hour (give or take) of cardio 4-5 x /week. So far no progress.... Frustrating!! This is the first week I am increasing my calories so I guess we will see what happens. I have heard that Yoga is great for building muscle without using weight. Please keep us updated on your progress. I am always curious to know what worked or did not work for others! Hang in there..0
