My legs hurt!

I just found this group and I'm so glad there are folks who can understand my pain! I did W5D1 this weekend and I was EXHAUSTED at the end. Glad I did it, but I'll probably repeat it before I move on. Though honestly my biggest problem doesn't seem to be getting out of breath, it's more that my legs feel like jelly and my calves get super tight. Has anyone else experienced this, and how long does it take to go away?

I did W1D1 last night, and I was OK at the end, but today I feel weak and jellylike... right down to my fingers!

i repeated week 5 because 6 scared me! but 6 wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. i dont regret doing w5 over. my calves feel like that also so i think I may need to do some leg exercises to help them out, good luck on your journey!!

Thanks for the support! I have great running shoes - finally forked out the bucks to get a good pair. I think I probably have to do some strength training to build up my leg muscles. Or just keep chugging along. Hopefully it'll get better! Good luck with your journey!

Yep, I'm at week 7 and I can honestly say my only limits are placed by my legs - cardio wise I can keep going indefinitely (that's how I feel anyway!), but boy do my legs ache from it! I have just been powering on through, and it is getting marginally easier each time - the first 5 minutes are killer, each and every time though!
