How about monthly mini goals and rewards. Last week I bought new sneakers since I have been doing a lot more walking. This month I would like to lose at least 10 lbs and have a group bowling night with friends. Ok bowling may not be too exciting but I am trying to think of non-food related activities.0

Good idea! If you can maybe come up with a way to track the mini goals and rewards within the group, that's be great. I have something like that on excel and I'm nowhere close to the end of it (lol)... I didn't know I had so many goals. Non-food related rewards are the best (I got cardio sneakers which are so much more comfier than my normal running sneakers); and I'm about 4lb from my next reward (Skincare Products - just to pamper myself a bit).:bigsmile:0

I think rather than dividing and having so many threads where we have to post - it would be better to have one constant thread - and have everyone feel free to post whatever they feel like discussing on the date -- or you could have a daily theme post - one day dedicated to checking in with progress - etc. I've already found it's hard for me to jump from post to post here. When we had these kind of groups over at weight watchers.com it seemed to work better to let everyone check in daily and just post whatever was on their mind. but I'll stick around no matter what is decided on how to shake things up and get people actively posting. The most important goal is to keep everyone actively interacting. From what I can gather, support is what it's all about at MFP.0

thanks for your input freshcrayons and i understand what you mean; plus if everyone is comfortable with having a single thread then we should definately maintain a single thread. this group is about comfort and support, where everyone is entitled to make suggestions that will work for everyone.
if anyone doesn't object, we'll have only two threads; BRAINSTORM (to keep a flow of fresh ideas) and DAILY CHECK IN (weigh ins, general posting, weight loss secrets, success stories, mini goals/rewards etc etc etc)0
