Hello, saw this group mentioned in another post and thought I would check it out.

Short bio: 30, married, mom of two (5yrs and 8 months). I have struggled with binge eating, secret eating, etc, etc, for as long as I can remember. Didn't really start to affect my weight until my early 20's, since then I have been riding the weight roller coaster. I blamed the weight gain on birth control, lack of exercise, lifestyle changes for a long time but over the last few years I have started to explore the emotional issues behind my eating. It doesn't always change my behavior, but it has helped lessen some of the feelings of shame and guilt and general "why do I do this? what is wrong with me?" type of thoughts.

Currently I have not binged in 27 days, but I have been under a lot of stress lately and it's getting harder to remember why I shouldn't just dive head first into the pantry and never come out.

Welcome. 27 days is AWESOME! Try to forget about the number and just enjoy how you feel. Before you know it, you won't be able to remember the last time you ate yourself sick.

You may have other stresses right now, but you don't have to add the stress of feeling gross from binging. LOL.
