Anyone do endurance sports? I posted in fitness but thought I would try here.
We follow alot of Paleo recipes (i am gluten and dairy free) but we (my household) are not strict Paleo. I play around with it but my problem is trying to sustain enough energy for marathons and Iron Man training..Plus as a "fatty on the inside" I will and always count calories so making bread with cashew flour and the calories that entails gives me hives just thinking about it. Just bc I run 20 miles doesnt mean I can afford 600 calories in a muffin or bread..
I bought Paleo for Endurance athletes but its out of league and the menu plan is AWFUL.. I just wanted to hear from anyone who can support the Paleo diet while maintaining energy level to compete.

I trained for a half marathon 2 months ago eating around 90-110 carbs a day, and doing body weight exercises on the non running days. I followed MDA's suggestion for upping the carbs 2 days before the race.0
