Taking a week off between stages

I was wonder if any of you take a week off between stages like the book suggests. I would definitely benefit from the off week, just don't know if I can, going to the gym is such a habit now.
It would give my foot a needed bread ( plantar fascitis) and my body a break for the pre workout.
So, do you take a week off or keep going?

i'm taking a week off (well 9 days technically) between stage 1 and stage 2.
it's not a complete week off since i'll still be going to the gym, doing cardio, yoga, stretching. i'll also be doing complexes on my lift days, but just wont be lifting heavy things and putting them down.
after this i probably wont take another deload week until august, so that may coincide with time off between stages 6 and 7.0 -
I was thinking about just doing cardio and practice some new exercises.
I really want to try yoga.0 -
A week off of heavy lifting will do you good-it will give your body rest and you will not burn off too fast lifting heavy things. I do take deload weeks and sometimes totally off of heavy lifting. I still do stuff-kettlebells, bodyweight, try new things or go down on weight -a lot down. Then after that week is over I feel ready for more and more heavy weights.0

I'm going to take a week off but still get a little cardio in, maybe even some pushups and abs, but definitely breaking from the heavy lifting.0
