I have a question. I was faitfhully eating my 2000 give or take cals per day and last week I became ill w/ a nasty stomach virus. Because of the virus I couldn't really eat for a few days and I lost about 4lbs. My appetite is good now, but my stomach is still on the mend. I'm planning to go back to eating normal cals tomm, but I am concerned if my body will do some weird rebound and I will gain weight, or stay the same? I've been quite concerned about this..............

You probably lost a quite a bit of water weight...to lose 4lbs of fat that would be a 14k cal deficit or muscle it would be a 10k cal deficit.
I say get your cals back up, I don't think you will hae a massive gain other than the 4lbs...butyu know like I do...your body will benefit ith te cals and show its appreciation with inches lost.
I can wait to see some picures:-)0 -
MsColes- I'm right there with you. I had a really sick few days last weekend where I couldn't hold any food down for days. By the time Monday rolled around, I stepped on the scale and was UP 4lbs
I thought it'd go right back down, but I'm sad to say it hasn't. After a week of eating my cut #s, I've decided to make this week a maintenance week, to allow my body to be reassured that I will continue to feed it. Then I will resume a deficit in a week.
I'll keep you posted, but I would hope that you don't have any rebound effect at all..
We're all different

I know, right? I'm on the phone all day, today, too;)0 -
I'm in the same boat. Got sick for a week, couldn't eat for two days at all- then slowly, slowly working back up. It's still hard to eat protein- my body is seriously fighting me on that right now. I'm trying to eat carbs and add protein more and more each day.
So far I'm up to 1700... only 500 more to go ...sigh...
Sometimes I guess we just keep pushing onward because we know it's right and it will be right in the future- even if it doesn't look like it from where we are right now.0
