What are your thoughts? I am doing basic body weight at the moment. I won't be able to join a gym or purchase weight for use at home. I am looking for something more economical, but want to really concentrate on building strength to burn more of that stubborn fat!

Thanks, gals!

    Hey Michelle,

Resistance bands are great additions to the weight training arsenal, although they will not replace the weights, per se. I would go ahead and incorporate them into your routine, while also using some other basic exercises. You can use the resistance band, perhaps to make some of your body weight exercises a bit more challenging, such as squats, lunges, pushups, etc.

I'm sure a quick google of "resistance band exercises", will prove more than fruitful. To make sure you find exercises that will help you accomplish your goals, maybe check out sites geared toward muscle building, like bodybuilding.com, and perform your search there

Definitely worth the investment for such a small $$

My physical therapist has me use a resistance band to simulate some of the same exercises I do on weight machines at the gym at home. I think it probably limits the variety of exercises you can do, but they definitely help add resistance!
