If I could peg this I would but perhaps the moderator could. Having quit over a year ago.....March 9 to be exact....I have been through all the emotions and overeating that you all have or will experience. I still have thoughts but no where near the severity of the beginning of my quit.
I wanted to share with you some research that I did when I found myself eating and eating and eating. I needed to stop the cycle because I was not prepared to gain 50 lbs. After a morning of research, I found my answers and once I had answers, it was easier to control what was happening with alternate methods.
This is the link to the best explanation and I hope that it also helps you understand. Another helpful hint I have is for you to look at the about.com forum. There are thousands of members quitting smoking and the assistance in that forum is invaluable. REal people going through exactly some of the same emotions and problems. Take a look for yourself....

Hope this helps someone because both of these helped me lots and look at me now.............1 year of Freedom! So happy to be on the other side!!
