Just ran a 5k!!

I'm still on week 7, but I decided to push it today...and I ran for 3.1 miles without walking whatsoever...and only 3 15ish second stops for water. It took me a heck of a long time (50:30), but I'm still thrilled to have just done it without walking. As I was walking home from the park I passed a little stretch that I tried to run shortly after I made the decision in January that I'd run a 5k by november. The stretch MIGHT have been .15 of a mile, but I was gasping for air after I completed it. Walking by it was just incredibly gratifying that in such a short time (about 4 months) I can run WAY farther and have already completed 2 races (a 5k and a 4miler) and have a TON of races in my future. Especially today when I ran the entire 5k for the first time!
