POF is like Walmart shopping, you know you aint gettin quality, but it's cheap.
OkCupid in my area has all the smarties, everyone has a Masters or PHD, aka..I'm huntin for a sugar mama.0 -
i prefer OKC. POF is definitely like the bargain bin0
-
OKC seems to be more focused on who you are, whereas POF seems focused on what you look like.0
-
I like the questions on OKC . Assuming they're filled out honestly, you can learn a lot more about a person than what they just put in their summary.0

Ya know, I'm a pretty loose person, but those questions on OKCupid can be really really ...explicit, creepy, and...just bloody weird.0

POF is the online equivalent to "Last Call" at the bar.
OKCupid is where girls go to ignore me.
Both of them are where people go to upload ten year old pictures and lie about everything that matters.
Jaded? Maybe a little.0 -
I like the format of OkCupid, but I literally got like no interest on there. It would seem like nobody even looked at my profile or cared that I answered a million questions. lol Got no interest on Match either. Felt like a troll. POF would go in waves and most of them were not creeps or weirdos. Some pervs, but that's normal and they usually hit you up while you are on, they don't usually take the time to message otherwise. Instant gratification0

I use POF. I didn't even know OKC existed until this group came along. I haven't checked it out yet.0

Awesome summary.
Does anyone on here use RSVP?
Wasnt sure if you guys and girls have it in the US?0 -

I don't think POFers are drunk enough for me.0 -
I think it depends on your location. Some are more popular in certain areas than others.0

this made me laugh!!
i don't think you're jaded, i think they're both jokes in terms of meeting quality people for a relationship.
i will say, i don't lie on mine, and my pics are NOT 10 yrs old. not even 1 year old :-)
some of us really are honest people!!POF is the online equivalent to "Last Call" at the bar.

okc. I deleted pof when I saw my psycho ex bf on there. Not going there again lol0

POF was good to me. I'm in Austin and feel I have good quality men to choose from. Yes, there were duds but overall I'm very happy with them especially because that's where I met my main squeeze.
OKC was okay. I got tons of messages but never came across someone I was actually interested in.0 -

I'm gonna say we don't. I have never heard of it.
I was on POF... but its hard weeding out the losers, weirdos, pervs and people who are just plain not serious about meeting someone. Not on anything buy MFP right now, and unfortunately the only people that I have any interest in are out of country , but that's ok, because ultimately I'm here for fitness0 -

Yeah those questions were wayyyyyy out there.0 -
I've never used OKC.. I met a great guy on POF after only a few days and probably 200 messages. There are a bunch of weirdos on there though.
I'm interested to try OKC to see what these questions are though, LOL.0 -
I found it was pretty much all the same people on both and most were single for a very good reason (and it didn't take long to figure that out). I'm back to real world dating where crazies can be weeded out easier.0

I'm on POF in the VA beach area. My experience has been that I get what I pay for....0
-
There are a LOT of students on POF though in my area (Biloxi, MS).
They're here for 6-12 months and just want to get some booty while they're down here.0 -

Yeah those questions were wayyyyyy out there.
Not to hijack a thread, but any examples of questions you guys thought were really odd? I've answered a bunch and only skipped a few that I felt were a bit too personal, but nothing truly off the range.
I love the questions like "What hand does a right handed glove fit on if you turn it inside out." because even if you don't know the answer it takes 2 seconds to look it up or try it. So if people get that one wrong I immediately know they're either lazy or don't care so I move on.
It also seems only 1 out 10 women I see get the "Wherefore" question about Romeo and Juliet correct. That doesn't bother me too much unless they say they love to read in their profile, in which case I think they're either dumb or lying.0 -

I am trying to remember back but there were ones about how kinky I was and most the questions I got were sexual in nature which I don't think should be asked in questions like that.0 -
I just signed up for OKC haha. Can you guys tell I'm bored?
So far I haven't had a lot of messages, so it's less intimidating definitely.0 -
I am currently on POF - but shoot may have to try OKC
POF I had what I thought was good luck - he was a nice guy, just yeah lacking basic relationship skills like oh yeah COMMUNICATION0 -
i preferred okc to pof. that could be that i there were less creepy guys on okc, but i don't know. i had more dates from okc than i did from pof. the guys from pof seemed more interested in just chatting, where as the guys on okc seemed interested in actually meeting.........0

okc. I deleted pof when I saw my psycho ex bf on there. Not going there again lol
Bahahaha! Same here. I was on POF for a week and saw my ex on there, scoffed at the bs in his profile, then deleted mine. POF is where he found his new baby mama AND new live in gf (two diff women -- within 6 months after our breakup -- we were together 4.5 yrs and halfway through he claimed born again Christian and wanted to stop having sex until marriage...then got a random girl pregnant a couple of months after we broke up. I know. I was an idiot. :-/ ). I'd met him on hotornot.com, lol. But OKC is pretty good.0 -
I seem to get ignored on both LOL.. I was wondering. I do get some interest on POF but it usually from girls not my type .. That bring up another question I'm gonna post ....0
