NROWLFW at home

I just bought the book and am excited to start! However I do not belong to a gym. I have a variety of things in my "home gym". I currently have dumbells ranging from 5-20 pounds, resistance bands, a small weight bench, a 14 inch step, and a Swiss Ball.

I am just wondering if there is any additional equipment I might need. I know I will most likely need heavier weights! What is a general range of weights that you use? I know this will be completely different for each person, I'm just curious to see a range. I am not completely new to weight training. I have done Chalean Extreme, but never completed the full program.

I appreciate any info and tips anyone has for me! :)

Thanks!

At the very least you'll nee to add a bench & an Olympic barbell, with a minimum of 60lbs of weight plates for starters.

I bought a standard barbell set to start with. $99 for 100 lbs. The bar is a lot lighter than an Olympic. Unfortunately, that's where I'm at. The Olympic is just too heavy for me starting out. I also have dumbells from 5lbs up to 35lbs. (not that I can use them all yet), a bench, a ball, and a mat. I'm looking into buying a squat rack.

An Olympic barbell (7ft. long, weighs 45 lbs.), a full set of barbell plates, a squat rack or something you can use to hold the barbell at shoulder height, step platform with at least 10 risers, heavy duty bench that inclines and heavier dumbbells.

I use dumbbells from 15 to 45 lbs. and barbell plates from 5 to 45 lbs. and 16 platform risers (8 on each side) for the step-ups.

I completed Chalean the end of March. Big fan here. She is what inspired me to try NROLFW.

I have various pairs of dumbbells that range from 3 to 12 lbs, a pair of adjustable dumbbells that range from 5-25 lbs, a folding chair I use as my step and a mat. I do various abdominal exercises in lieu of the swiss ball which I don't have. I am currently on Stage 1 and all of this works fine for now. I feel pretty certain I will be looking for a new home when I reach stage 2 as the living room is just not big enough since I will need to purchase some new equip. I can see how excited my hubby is going to be already...NOT! lol.
