Dieting and heartburn (or stomach burn) question

Options
I have been dieting for about 3 weeks now and working towards by surgery date of August 27th but I started to feel a "burning" pain above my stomach. I have acid reflux but I take medicine daily and that works but this is a different type of feeling. Anyone else have this same feeling? I'm hoping with the Upper GI test I just had done a couple of days ago maybe something will show on the scan. Thanks!

it's hard to say not being able to feel what you feel but I have had a similar pain associated with my reflux depending on what I ate. Each of my trigger foods reacts slightly different for me and that is what tomato sauce does to me but I've also just had a bad gas bubble before that wouldn't move caused by introducing new foods so really i guess that's not much help, but like everything you could always call your doctor and talk to the nurse and see if they think you need to come in or they can recommend something over the phone.
