hey, i am glad i found this group. I am 5 ft 2 inches and i have always been around 120-125 all my life. i am 35 now and when i got pregnant i was between 125-130. I lost most of that weight shortly after my son 5 years ago but last summer i noticed i was gaining fast! I gained about 10 lbs in 4 months. So came Oct i decided i needed to loose it as i was going up in jean sizes and i wasn't going to go double digits! well it's been 6 months since i have started to try to shed those unwanted lbs and i tell you, it has been so super slow... i lost a steady 2.5 lbs in nov and dec, ( was on 1200 cals) hit a month plateau in Jan and then i upped my cals after learning about my bmr. ( 1310-1350)... since then the loss is even slower, i loose if lucky 1-1.5 lbs a month now. I am now dropped from 140-130 but 6 months to loose 10 lbs.... i still have at least 5 to go but closer to 7-8ish... have any of you had slow success loosing weight? if so what did you do? I am doing JM's dvd's i did 30ds twice, i only lost a few inches the 1st time, nothing the second, so i changed the dvd this time to Ripped in 30. I am on level 3 and so far no loss of nothing either... i don't know what else to do different.... i have changed my eating hugely and cut out lots, like pop/ chips all that yummy stuff... you think i would be at my goal already?

You said you cut out chips and pop, but you didn't say what you diet really looks like. Are you eating lots of lean meat? Are you doing any strength training? These help me a lot. I try to do no sodas, although I usually give in about once a week. Still, I try. I stay within 1200 calories net, and I do cardio and strength as much as I can. I'm at a plateau right now, but I can see body shape changing still I think it gets slower as you get closer to your goal. Also, older is harder.

if i seen the inches come off i would be fine.. but no change in inches since dec :( my diet is usually very good for the most part. I eat chicken a few times a week, eggs, yogurt, cheese, lots of veggies now. if i eat soup or anything it's home made. i think i have made huge progress in my eating habits and i measure out all my portions, etc. My cals are 1350 right now and i stick to that. I do exercise 30 min 6 days a week doing Rin30 right now and if i get in extra by bike riding, etc it's a bonus but it's not scheduled in... I know i do need to drink more water daily and i lack still in the protein dept... I am not a sweet eater thank god, so no challenge in that dept! I am about 7 lbs away from goal of ideal body weight, and i know it does become harder... it would just be nice to see some inches come off instead of the last few lbs so i can get to ONE size and stop being inbeweeen sizes..
