What's your exercise routine?
I go to a Zumba class 2-3 times per week and I just started Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred.
My goal is to lose 5 lbs a month while maintaining my current muscle mass.

I haven't done a great deal in the exercise department for the last few years and, at my age, I am starting off slow and will likely never get as into it as you youngins. But one can make improvements at any age. I am just getting into some resistance training using dumbbells at home three times a week and doing a little more walking on the other days. Kind of small potatoes but every bit helps, especially the resistance training for trying to increase or at least maintain lean body mass.
I hear the 30 day shred can be pretty intensive. Keep us updated on how it is going.0 -
I go through phases of exercising, then I get bored and don't exercise for a couple of weeks, but usually I do 30 minutes of cardio w/ weights (like walking or jogging with weights) Monday through Friday, and 20 minutes of pilates M/W/F.
Do you eat back your exercise calories? Just curious. I don't.0 -
It seems to me that you should only eat back your exercise points if you are doing a workout with intense workout specifically with weights or intensive cardio - stuff like those beachbody, P90X & Insanity stuff. Otherwise stick to the daily calorie goal that was set so your exercise burning will pay off!0

Sometimes I add an extra 150-200 calories if I feel like I need it. Normally a protein shake. I'm thinking about pilates too. My work offers a free class a couple of times a week....might give it a try0
