Hi, I'm Ginger. I'm 34 & married with 1 cat. In recent years I've put on more weight than I'm happy to admit & I refuse to go out and buy new clothes. So to the end of making the ones I already have fit better (or even be a bit loose), I've just joined & started logging my food intake with MyFitnessPal.

I'd like to loose 30-40 lbs ultimately. I'm currently training for a 10K in about 3 weeks (2 days after I graduate with my AAS in Vascular Ultrasound!) and a Half Marathon in September. It's going to be a very slow 13.1 if I don't shape up & loose some lbs before then.

1) What are your goals for this week?
I just did W1:D1 of JM's 30DS, so I need to do it 2 more times this week.
Also, I'd like to log at least 2 hours of vigorous cardio (bike or running).

2) What are your goals for this month?
Loose 8 lb (or notice that my clothes are looser) by May 17th (graduation).

3) Which video(s) will you be using?
Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred

4) How often do you plan to workout?
3 days/wk video
2-3 days/wk cardio @ the gym

I do have one big question...How do you log the exercise on your MyFitnessPal when you do the video? It's a combo of strength & cardio and I want to make sure I get credit for it, but don't give myself too much credit, ya know? Thanks for your help!

Happy Shredding everyone!

  • OOPS! I didn't mean to make "Hello...I'm Ginger" and whole new topic. Sorry guys, I'm new to this group posting thing. I'm really just wondering how to log my JM video workout.

    Thanks & Sorry again,

Hi Ginger! Do you have a heart rate monitor? I created my own exercise for JM, but I believe others are putting it under Cardiovascular->Circuit Training.
  • Thanks tdbernrd,
I don't have a heart monitor...but I'll starting putting it as Cardiovascular. I was figuring that was the best way to do it. I'm doing her No More Trouble Zones workout today, so maybe I'll list that as Circuit Training.
    Thanks again!
