Weight Gain

OK,
So I used to run (up until about 2 weeks ago) I was loosing weight, but I will admit I was not super toned) I could run 4 miles in about 35-36 minutes, so I am not that quick. Now I stopped in order to do this new program, and I have successfully gained 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I raised my calorie intake to about 2,200 a day (from around 1800). I am doing the break in period, working out 3 days a week. Has anybody else had this issue?
I am 6'-2" tall, 198 lbs, male 40 years old.

I'm also doing the break-in, consuming 2100 cals to maintain my weight. The break-in gives me a chance to really practice form, and I don't miss biceps- and triceps isolated exercises at all. Can't wait to start hypertrophy I.0

It's just water weight and the weight of more food/waste inside you. You didn't gain 4 pounds of fat, if that's what you're concerned about. Weigh yourself again in a couple weeks and see where you are.
Edit: I just noticed this thread is almost a year old.0
