Weight Capacity

I have newly discovered by doing some research that the average restaurant chair has a weight capacity of 230-250lbs. I wanted to open a discussion on this. Any know this already? I am pretty shocked seeing as how even a large built man will often top this even if barely overweight. I would think restaurants would do a better job here. I read a blog on a restaurant that posted this info for patrons. I think its a good idea, some people were offended.
