New to Group

Hi All -

I'm Kristin, a 43-year old mother of an almost 5-year old boy. I got fed up with my weight back in February, and checked this place out at the recommendation of some online mommy friends. Since then, I've lost 20 pounds, but I'd still like to lose at least another 50. I've found the support on here to be a wonderful motivator, and it definitely helps keep me accountable! I'm using a fitbit to try to just get myself moving more, and have also started focusing more on walking and doing some of the exercise DVDs that have been gathering dust in my basement. I work part-time from home, so getting consistent exercise has always been a struggle for me - it seems like I always have other things I should (or would rather) be doing!

    Welcome.
    Awesome job with the 20 lbs you have lost already. Log what you eat and do what you can when it comes to the exercise, you can and will reach your next goal. Keep up the good work.

    I am new too. I am 47 and have 3 kids; 2 are out of the house and I have a 12 y.o. at home. I gained 20 lbs this winter! I think it is the menopause factor and I have to adjust to the fact that even though I may FEEL 30 my body is not. I am focusing on kicking my sugar habit (just LOVE those peanut M&Ms) and consistent exercise.

    We can do this!!!
