ChaLEAN Extreme question

Do you think ChalEAN Extreme would be considered heavy lifting? I know that the weights used vary by what you can handle, etc. So if you really push yourself, would it be considered "heavy"?
Thanks

Yes and it is a good place to start... Chalene is awesome! She always says... Go Heavy or Go Home!0

Yes, just push yourself and it is heavy! When it gets easy, increase weight. Have fun, I am one workout away from finishing the program. Being stronger is a great motivation to be more physical in general. I am able to do cardio classes with so much more energy and strength. I am happy all around with the program!0

Yes, especially in the Push month when you try to hit failure in 6-8 reps. I am up to 25-30 lbs in each weight for some of the lower body exercises (so 50-60 lbs!) I am 2 months into the CE/TurboFire hybrid and love both programs! and really starting to see the toning!0

I would say yes and no. Heavy lifting is often considered lifting weights heavy enough to fail between 1 and 6 reps. That being said, I have definitely experienced great benefits from doing CLX. Love it!0

I believe that it is all determined by how hard you are willing to push yourself. If you are willing to fail between the reps she says then yes it is considered heavy lifting. I curl 15lbs and squat 40-501lbs ( 2x20lbs) though I could do more if I had a bar since my hands are so weak but from what i have been told that just comes with time. I go up in weights almost every week and on the ones I don't go up on every week I go up ever other week. So by the time I am done I project I will be curling 20 -25lbs if not more and squating (60-70lbs) as long as my hands can handle it.0

I have a question, it was recommended to me that since I am a beginner I shouldn't be doing more than 10 lbs. on any exercise. I am going into week 4 on the Burn Circuit. I am up to 10 lbs. on several of the exercises. Shouldn't I get heavier weights if I feel I can go heavier? Do I need to go real heavy in the Push Phase? I thought lifting heavy was the point of this DVD series?0

When I started the program, I found using 10 lbs wasn't bring me to "failure" on the lower body exercises so I went up to 15 lbs the second week. I don't think it's a problem as long as your feel like you can handle it.
I go heavier on the push phase and do the exercises slower. You only need to do 6-8. I don't own 20 lbs weights (yet) but I take it up a few lbs for the upper arm exercises.0 -

First off I must as who told you this? If you are not failing using 10lbs then yes get heavier weights I am in the push phase and I am using 25lb DB with lower body workouts and 10 and 15lb DB depending on the move with upper body.0
