What do you want to do once you've lost some weight?

  • I am looking forward to being able to run around more with my kids without being out of breath or feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. I also can't wait to be able to fit into rides at Kinds Island ( Amusement Park ) better without the little voice in my head saying suck it in or wondering if I will be able to fit in the seat. I can't wait to go cloths shopping and actually find cloths that fit me and to be able to buy what I want and like and not just what's available for my size. I'm looking forward to more energy and being more fit and healthy. I can't wait to physically be able to do what I've always wanted to do my weight and the results of that hold me back alot. I want a better quality of life with my hubby and my kids. I want to feel sexy again.
  • My two biggies are:

    horseback riding
    &
    shopping.

Also tattoos (afraid if I get them now they'd be unrecognizable later, haha) and wearing shorts & a tank top in the summer without being self conscious. Can't wait. :)

Keep going. Unfortunately as a food addict there's no such thing as over for me, sigh.
  • I have many things on my list but i have wanted to go horse back riding for years, never have!

Too many things to list here, but the biggest is to just be treated like a human being. Had a really bad day on Wed., they have family swim at the YMCA and some of the kids were being obnoxious and rude and threw a ball at me and hit me with it and was excited that he "hit the whale".......Worst is the parents did and said nothing, the lifeguard took the ball away.

Condensed from the mini-goal list on my blog (which is much longer):

325 - can use my new Wii Fit (balance board limit is 330; I'm playing it safe)

314 - my weight when I first met my boyfriend and the last time I could sit in most seats comfortably

275 - the last time I could put the armrests down on a plane without squeezing myself in

185 or 190 - the last time I could fit on all of the rides at Cedar Point

175 - I can shop in "normal" clothing stores again (size 12/14)

This is a GREAT topic. Just the other day I posted a blog on my site entitled "My Weight Loss Bucket List."

Go on a hot air balloon ride with my love.
Swim with Dolphins with my love
Ride an Aqua Cycle Water Trike
    Buy clothing from regular stores
    Go to Mortuary School
Become a motivational speaker (as a hobby) to share my story with the world
    Go to Australia
    Go to Italy
    Go to Hawaii
Go back to Disney to see Tigger again!
Go to Rio de Janerio, Brazil
While in Rio see Christo Redetor (Christ the Redeemer statute)
    dance more

I am rewarding myself with a trip to North Carolina, once I lose 50lbs. I've never been before. When I hit my first MAJOR goal of -100 pounds, I'd like to return to Europe. I love Europe, and I am sure I'll appreciate it more, when I am not carrying 360lbs up all the hills and winding streets :)

Other things I am looking forward to:
    * being active with my family
    * fitting on roller coaster rides again!!!!
    * biking
    * buying an ENTIRE new wardrobe
    * feeling good about my overall appearance

I share many of the ones already listed, stores, roller coasters, bathing suits. Also, I would love to be able to tie my shoes sitting in a chair, instead of needing to be on the bed where I can bring my leg up next to me.

Like many others have said - TRAVEL! No worries on a plane, no worries walking around a fabulous exotic city, no worries about hundreds of stairs to get to a monument.

And, my own "I have made it!" celebration goal... hang gliding.

I already knocked a few things off my list already...

    - Not shopping at big and tall store (but I still do because I'm so tall)
    - Being able to fit on roller coasters
    - Not looking completely ridiculous if riding a sport motorcycle (my gift to myself for losing 120, although gained 20 back. :( )

I admit the rest of my list is extremely superficial, but whatever motivates you, right?

    - Go to a water park without feeling extremely ridiculous
    - All variations on turn heads, look attractive, etc, etc.
    - Able to shop at the store that was the bane of my overweight existence: Abercrombie & Fitch lol... Nah, I still hate that store

I would like to be able to buy clothes at a store instead of a specialty catalog or making them.
I want to run a marathon.
I want to be able to buy a plane ticket and go somewhere, not be limited to driving if my family wants to travel.
I want to be able to go to my kids' schools and not have my kids made fun of for having a fat mom.
I want to go out in public and not have kids poke my butt and run away giggling. Happens more than you would think.

    1. Ride the Ferris Wheel at the Texas State Fair
    2. Wear high heel boots/shoes
    3. Start riding horses again, and possibly show jumping (if the "bad" knee will tolerate)
    4. Join a Co-Ed softball team

Of course, there are bunches and bunches MORE, but those are the ones that pop to mind. I was soooooo thankful when I finally lost enough to fit into restaurant booths! It was such a headache always having to have a table and never being able to sit at a booth, and my family just never understood why we had to always sit at a table.

I want to have better sex
  • I want to be able to wear sexy clothes again, play with my daughters, dance, have energy, and find clothes at the store and not have to order everything on-line. I also want to prove everyone wrong and show them that I can lose the weight!!!

I got a variation of that when I went to China. I got poked in the gut multiple times by kids. I think they'd never seen a 300+ lb guy in their life.
