I found a low-carb bread that uses pure wheat flour (unbleached, all natural), put out by Joseph's.
Flatbreads!
Only 100 Calories
14g Carbs, 3g of Fiber = 11g net carbs.
Its a good sized flatbread that actually TASTES like bread and nothing gummy from hell if you know what I mean.
I made up a roasted vegetable-egg scramble with mozzarella cheese and used a flatbread that I lightly browned in a pan. WOW, I see some grilled cheeses in my near future with this. I was REALLY impressed with it. It held up my breakfast sandwich without falling apart at all.
For 11g net grams, you can easily make a filling sandwich that is very reasonable in total carbohydrates.
Im going to experiment and make my own 'chips' out of them.
This would satisfy the need once per day if I wanted a sandwich....easily!
Multigrain, garlic herb, wheat, tomato-herb.
EDIT: the best part - Im not having a food-related reaction with this..... SCORE!
