Week4.jpg

This week's goal is to improve upon our performance so far. We are going to aim for 7 days drinking all our water, and increase those exercise totals a little. Keep up the good work with your food, we will be working on that again soon! Remember, you do not have to do all the exercise all at once. Just get it in over the course of the week!

Week 4 Goals
Water: 7/7
Food: 6/7
Cardio: 60 minutes
Strength: 30 minutes

Don't forget to report in! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/583586-report-in-week-3-results

Haha, Claudette, you posted in the wrong topic. :) That's for the Report In! Week 3.

By the way, I have to brag a little. Yesterday evening I went to Jardin du Luxembourg and ran 25 minutes straight, without stopping. It might not seem like much to someone, but to me it's a record!

Go girl!! That's awesome. That would be a huge accomplishment for me, so I know where you're coming from. Congrats!

I'm hitting the gym 4 times this week instead of my usual 3, so I'm psyched to master this week's challenge. Food choices/quality have been great so far this week; my quantities have been a little overboard. We'll just see how it goes. Good luck everyone.

I think I have this down. Finally getting used to being at goal for calories.

Do we have a report in thread for last week yet? I haven't found it, but I may be overlooking it.

    Good Morning Everyone!

I am finally on a computer that I can post on a message board! I have been tracking from my phone and can't get to message boards.

Last week, I got more then enough exercise in doing my firm DVDs. I also bought my first kettleball last week. I am going to start that workout today.

This is going to be a challenging week. I have 2 potluck lunches at work. Then we are volunteering at the church carnival this weekend. I am going to have to pack my own snacks! Its going to take a lot of will power!!!

OH...and my FITBIT came last night! Still trying to figure out how to synch it with MFP profile.

Hey everyone! I think I forgot to post a report in! LOL!

This has been an insane week. My BFF in the lab just successfully defended her dissertation this morning, and I have 2 undergraduate students doing an honor's thesis defense the next two days. Forgive me for being a little scattered!

Claudette - Thanks for posting your results! I'll get the right thread up here in a minute.

Martine - Way to go on the running! That is an accomplishment for a non-runner. I've only managed to run that long a few times!

Leigh - Sounds like you've got improvement covered! LOL!

Crystal - Getting used to being on track is a major goal of the group! Congrats!

Jen - Sorry you can't get to the message boards often! It's good to hear from you when you can. Pot lucks are real diet spoilers if you're not careful!

Good luck to them Lizard. One of the PhD students in my lab just defended and will be graduating shortly. I'll be attending a ceremony for him next weekend. My sister also graduates so that day will not be a great food day :p

On a plus note, since I've been in this challenge I've dropped below 180! I am now officially 178.5

    Yay! That's awesome!! :flowerforyou:

Day 1 of the work meetings/lunches wasn't too bad. I only ate the snacks that I brought and 1 piece of pizza. Fortunately, most of the people are bringing fruit salad and veggie trays. I was able to stay within my calories.

Hope everyone has a great day!

First student through the gamut, and she's done and leaving for home today! Second student (the one I'm giving a 50% chance of passing to) defends today. He had so many typos and errors in his presentation, I didn't know where to begin. Just passed it off to my adviser to deal with.

I missed yoga last night, and I'm feeling rather unbalanced today. Cranky, tired, burnt myself on the damn freezer again and I just want to go back to bed and sleep. But I have to deal with this disrespectful and ignorant student today. Not looking forward to this at all. He was already torn apart by our adviser once, and he failed to make all the changes that were needed. It's going to be bad...

Crystal - Congrats on the weight loss!

Jen - Glad the first pot luck wasn't too bad for you! A little pizza never hurt anyone. Great planning on your part too.

Crossing my fingers for you with the student. Our department is graduating 3 PhD's and the undergrads next Sat. So practically nobody is around.

Both students somehow made it through! The first was easy, the second was a miracle!

Did my first 5k today! Don't have my official finish time, but I did it in less than 40 minutes, definitely an awesome time! I've never done that many miles that fast before. So I'm thrilled. Next 5k is at the end of August. Aiming for near 30 minutes, I hope!

Sweet. My first was a little over 38 minutes. My ultimate goal is 30 but the next sets I have are obstacle courses so that goal is on the DL for now :p
