Please take a few minutes to read these posts after each workout. Aside from recapping our workout and giving instruction on what to bring for the next class, I try to give a pearl in that will help keep you on track or accelerate your goals. My intent is to give you the level of service you would expect if you were paying the average price per month for boot camp training, which is $100 to $150, but if you don't take advantage of it, or you don't see the benefit, please let me know. It's not in me to do anything halfway, so the solution may be to increase the monthly fee...just jokes...maybe :-).

Great workout today! Running the hills backwards was a beast, and I'm proud of everyone for getting through it. Be sure to stretch your quads throughout the day to minimize soreness and to be ready for Friday's workout. For Friday, please bring your dumbbells (ladies 10 - 15 lbs, and guys 25 - 35 lbs).

Finally, here's a tip for increasing your accelerating your weight loss. When you enter your calories burned for your workouts, consider subtracting 70 calories from the total for women and 100 calories for men. Since with normal activity women burn between 1200 to 2000 calories per day and men burn 1800 to 2400 calories per day, this will be a more accurate count of the incremental calories you burned due to the workout, opposed to the calories you would have burned anyway whether you worked out or not. In other words, let's subtract the "normal activity calories" from our workout total, and we will do a better job of accounting for our pure workout calories burned. This small change will result in up to 490 to 700 calories saved per week by helping you more accurately gauge/control your food intake. Since it takes 3500 calories to burn a pound of fat, over the course of 3 months, this small change can lead to up to 2 to 4 pounds of EXTRA weight loss!

Get ready for a great workout on Friday and tell/bring a friend!
