Hey everyone!

I just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello. I just joined the group (and I think my husband might have, too) but we've started to try and focus on a plant-based diet for many reasons and would love any extra support, tips and tricks, recipes, etc...that you might have to offer!

I've lost 70 lbs since I started trying to lose weight and, inspired by Forks over Knives, we thought that going plant-based might be what I need to help lose this next 50 lbs, not to mention all the other health benefits of getting away from animal products.

Feel free to add me or provide any info on here.

Hi there--I'm a longtime vegetarian who eats a lot of raw stuff lately, and it seems to help me with weight and health: I make a giant salad every week, mostly of stuff like organic cucumbers and carrots, which take some chewing and are satisfying int heir way, and I make a giant 'hobo stew' every week, of whatever organic vegetables I like are on sale, and some vegetarian protein, and I tend to have that every afternoon or evening, which makes life easier for me cooking-wise, since i make it in the beginning of the week and just reheat some each day, and add other stuff if I want to. I tend to eat tons of organic flax seeds, whole and raw, like a hamster does, and they keep my face occupied and are nutritious and good, and are a substitute for the potato chips and stuff I used to eat a lot of. I eat vegetarian burgers with cheese made with raw milk sometimes, and other kinds of food. If you are looking to add friends, feel free to add me. Good luck to you!
