I used to "play" with rattlesnakes. Played at chopping their heads off, that is.

I've done that once. to a copper head. Um, her babies came out. Then it turned into chop 10 heads. lol

Sunday we kind of talked about being in a relationship/exclusive. We each talked about any doubts or fears we might have.. for me it was the fact that I don't want him to end up getting pissed that I go out with friends and such even if he doesn't want to, and for both of us it's the fact that he's leaving next February to get stationed elsewhere. We're not sure.

We didn't really establish anything, such as whether we're exclusive or not.. but we did go see Avengers later in the day and it was awesome! :)

Should I bring it up again? Honestly I don't know if I'm ready for a serious relationship.. but Saturday night when we were drunk, we were talking about the differences between two different words, and for an example (I actually don't remember what the words were, I was drunk, I just remember this part), he said "I would say that I like you a lot and I want you to be my girlfriend."

I think I just giggled and ate some more chips, salsa, and margarita.

    Thoughts? What do I do?

I read this to mean if you don't have the conversation again, someone is going to get hurt. I'm not sure which one.

Friday, I went out with a guy from Match that I had drooled over during a focus group a couple months ago. We went to one of the classiest restaurants in town, which was a treat for me. I was a little nervous, because he was high-ranking on staff, but he assured me he was starting a new job off base soon so I relaxed and we had a great time. Only problem is, I found myself thinking of bodybuilder guy sometimes, so I'm not sure it would be fair to this guy to accept another date. OTOH, we did have a lot in common and bodybuilder guy is on the rebound so...sigh... I don't know...he's going out of town for work for a couple weeks so who knows, by then bodybuilder guy might not even be in the picture.

Sat, my son and I had fun at various activities and then we went swimming with bodybuilder guy (aka starbucks guy) and his kids. We had blast. It was great watching this hot guy play with his kids. Then, me and my girls went out for Cinco de Mayo and then did chick-flick movie night at my place.

Men men and more men. LOL! Sounds like a GREAT weekend!

Awwwwww! That probably took alot for him to say ... considering how slow he has been wanting to take things. Do you want to date other people??

I just have to jump in here on the snake topic.... You guys are bumming me out with all this head-chop stuff.

Snakes are only aggressive if they feel threatened. I deal with sidewinders, Mojaves, diamondbacks etc. for a living... as well as tortoises which are just the most fascinating!

    STOP KILLING SNAKES! LOL

    Hi y'all! :)

Friday night I went to a baseball game with a friend and her daughter, we had a blast!

Satuday I had a lunch date that went rather well (three hours of conversation? I think so!) and we've been texting and chatting since. Have a follow up date Tuesday, so we shall see :) Hopin' for that first kiss ;)

A python? or a snake? lol

That is so what a boy would pick out of that entire paragraph. I swear it was a python .. he thinks perhaps it was a garden snake. I am of the opinion that it would have eaten me if given half a chance. He thinks not so much. I think he was wrong.

Um, there is a huge difference in a python and a garden snake. lol

One is deadly. One is harmless and a good snake to have.

Not all pythons are deadly! I have a ball python and she's mostly harmless <3

(For the record, that's also the part that got my attention in that whole paragraph! Poor snake :< )

Ran my half marathon yesterday and did AWESOME! Way better than I had anticipated (beat my personal record by almost a full ten minutes!!) My weekend was pretty much dedicated to that - I intentionally tried to not have any real plans so that I could focus on the half ;)

Slept for 14 hours last night! Phew

I feel like my updates are now lame since they don't involve 1st dates but my weekend was good....Saturday was moving day. FL and Smiley met. The morning started off a little rough but we managed. I can tell Smiley is a manly man and it def came out this weekend. He took charge of the moving and I so appreciated it. I think he was silently competing against FL which is fine by me. They got along but Smiley def liked my cousin's husband better....He did SO much for me this weekend. He's awesome!!!

Hun, your updates are what most of the people on the board wanna have. Happy for you!

I agree. I'll only kill a snake if it's a rattlesnake or copperhead around my work (can't be liable) or Mom's house. Otherwise, they're fine and I go out of my way to avoid them. They're just as afraid of you as you are of them. Leave them be.

Lol, I actually had more fun at the pool and going out with my girls than on any of last week's dates. I accepted 2 lunch dates in addition to Friday’s dinner because bodybuilder guy did something I interpreted as a loss of interest. He quickly corrected it, but I’d already made commitments and wasn’t gonna change my plans for someone I’m not exclusive with.

I broke it off with the girl I was seeing. It hurt a lot more than I thought it would and now I have been left wondering if it was the right decision......

In general, I would say it was the right decision, or you wouldn't have gone through with it. But do you mind if I ask why you broke up with her?

Well it was more or less the pros vs cons and the cons won out. She is a lovely person, very sweet and caring, she opened my eyes to new things (nature, philosophy, music) and even serenaded me with her guitar.

The downsides were that she doesn't have a car (she lives 25mins away) or phone, only works PT at Starbucks, has student loans up the ying yang and didn't really seem to have a goal or direction in life. Whereas I am well into a career, and want to travel more and start a family. I know that money isn't everything but I am hesitant on giving up the lifestyle that I've become accustomed to.......

If you're ready to root down in life and she's still floating, that's a legitmate reason to end things. Breaking up is hard to do, no matter what.

Don't get too down on yourself, give it a month and if you're still torn up then maybe you need to revisit the issue. :flowerforyou:

Having student loans is not bad in and of itself - but having any kind of debt without any kind of plan is definitely a red flag. It hurts because she's probably really fun and sweet, or whatever attracted you to her in the first place... but someone irresponsible and not going your direction will only cause you pain down the line - worse than what you're feeling now.

i save my friends from snakes :-) i had a pretty good sized snake in my back yard a couple weeks ago. my grass was too long. so, i picked it up, put it over the fence and sent it on it's way. after i took a couple pics that is, LOL!!!

growing up, i didn't play with barbie, i was the girl who played with G.I. Joe. it was my favorite cartoon to watch too!!! " he never gives up, he's always there. fighting for freedom over land and air."

my weekend is crazy productive. i was down to only two kids ( my two littles) friday night we drove around the country looking at houses for sale, LOL!! then got sushi for dinner! saturday, i spent 7 + hours working in the yard. i am doing a total front yard renovation!!! it's a ton of work and i'm not even close to being done. ended up meeting my male neighbor across the street and learned all about how he doesn't "do the girlfriend thing." it was a very interesting conversation! sat night he asked us to come over and BBQ. a male friend of mine came over with his two boys and so we all went over and my oldest three were dropped off. the kids ran around in the rain while the grown ups talked, me and two guys, LOL!!! it was decent!

sunday, spent a small fortune at home depot so that i can turn a shed into a playhouse for my kids. spent the afternoon laying a "active" floor, carpet, and moving furniture in. my guy friend came by with his chainsaw and took down a dead tree for me. i cut half of the back yard ( ran out of gas). made him and my kids dinner.

that was my weekend, in a nutshell!!!
