I'm on week 7 already, but I just found this group. I'm doing the program based on time, not distance. Last year I participated in the Chase Corporate Challenge in Syracuse, NY. It was essentially my first 5k, although the race is actually 3.5 miles. A few week later I found out I was pregnant and haven't ran much since until I started the C25K program. The race is coming up in June again and I'm hoping to beat last years time of 45 minutes. Once I complete the program I plan to work on increasing my speed in the weeks leading up to the race.
