Bra question

I want to start running. I made the mistake of jogging in my regular bra and injured myself (two months ago). I know that I need a good sports bra, however this isn't an option at the moment. I wear a 40HH. I have to make a two hour trip to get bras. I have tried ordering on-line before and not had good luck with getting a proper fit. What do folks think about using a regular bra and an ace bandage to bind my breast down? Or do I need to put off running until I can make the trip?

I had trouble when I was larger in the cup too. Whatever works, right? I use to put a regular bra on and sports bra or two over it. Now my girls are smaller and I wear an underarmor bra and its awesome.

This may sound weird but I have used a lumbar support and placed that above my breasts in order to hold them down. Just make sure the lumbar support isn't too tight so you can still breathe while jogging.

Double or triple up. Sounds excessive, but it works. You can also play around with sizes & fits.

I have this problem as well. I'm not as large as you are, but I've doubled and tripled up and it's painful.

I recommend the Enell bra. I've been using it for 2 months now and love it. It's definitely not pretty, but that's not what it's for! I highly recommend it.

My vote is to wait until you can get a proper sports bra. Especially wearing a 40H. You may be able to gerry-rig something, but, as you already know from experience, sometimes being in a hurry results in even more waiting because of pain or injury.

    What's the hurry?

You can still go walking and do strength training. Focus on that until you can get the right equipment for the job.
