After reading and researching I've increased my calories to 15% my TDEE. I've finally got it! I need to eat more and I think I will feel so much better. Here is my usual workout schedule..I have it as light activity but curious what you think.
Monday- Run 3.5 miles
Tuesday-Rest/walking 3.5 miles
Wednesday- Run 3.5 miles
Thur-Rest/walk or elliptical
Fri- Total Rest day
Sat-Run
Sun-Rest or walk
I looked at my training file on my HRM since May 1 I've burned an average of 425 calories per workout..(some days a little less, others more).
I like to vary my workout..but, I do run 3 days a week the other 2 I do less impact things like elliptical, walk, and sometimes swim laps..thinking about buying a bike and fiding that too!
Any suggestions on activity level?

I say moderately active...you do way more than lightly active in my opinion0

I'd say very active. You're working out at least 5-6 hrs a week, right?0

I'd go with moderate if it was me? So pleased you have upped the calories and feeling better overall.0

It is so hard to say...my guess is moderate because even if you run those 3.5 miles fast it's vigorous. It also makes a big difference whether you sit at a desk M-F like I do. That takes your burn way down. But if you chase kids all day your burn goes up!
I think the scooby calculator is the closest to my bodymediafit armband, but I was several hundred calories off in my estimates0 -
Thanks for the replies..LOVE this site, LOVE this group even more. I am feeling pretty good about increasing my calories today. When I reallys topped and thought about it..there was NO way I was fueling my body on 1200-1300 cals a day. My Net calories were more often than not in the 850 range..SO not healthy! No wonder my body is sore, tired, and I felt exhausted.
Glad I found this..glad I figured out my calculations and so glad I am on my way to being healthy. I went from one extreme of over eating to controlling everything so well only intakeing 1200 cals. Now, I have to figure out how to eat more..LOL0 -
I would say Moderate.
I keep re-evaluating my calorie intake and my losses and it seems I am somewhere in between Moderate and Very Active with running about 20 miles/week plus 2 Insanity workouts.
BTW, I NET over 1600 daily... sometimes eating as much as 2800 calories/day on my high burn days.0
