I have no idea how much I should be eating really, this site has me on 1480 or something like that.

Im 20, i am around 163 lbs and 5'2. I have not got an exercise plan set yet, suggestions? I have a bike, and some handweights, can do squats, etc at home. I have read some threads and see people saying if you add in weight training days it will speed things up? What sort of exercises are those?

I suppose i could do jillian dvds, i don't have much else except a rowing machine.

Any help would be great, totally forgot how to do things right, I will be on day 5 and have yet to see a loss, thanks.

First, welcome to the group. Please be sure to read the stickies at the top of the boards, especially the one about what to expect when you increase your calories. It typically takes 4-6 weeks to see changes. But it can take longer if you've been eating low calories for a long time.

To figure out your BMR and TDEE, you can check out a couple of sites - http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ and http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ They are both pretty good.

A lot of people use weight training knowing that it can transform your body where you lose inches and look smaller and more tone. I don't think weight training or any exercise really "speeds things up." We're here trying to live a lifestyle, not a diet or temporary quick fix. I've done Jillian's DVDs and got good results from them, but I'm getting better results by lifting heavy weights. You might want to read the New Rules of Lifting for Women. It has a great exercise program based mainly on weight lifting and can explain more of the science behind Eating More 2 Weigh Less.

    Hope that helps.
