Good Morning, I am new to this board and I look forward to all the helpful input. I have started using my fitness pal and I don't know how to interpret the results at the end of the day. Please help. I don't know if the minus means I went over or if I am under for that day. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Love, love keto. Starting weight 170 after 5 weeks 160 goal 128. I have really slowed down and any advice would be helpful.

First off, welcome to MFP!
Secondly, a slowdown after starting the Keto eating plan is expected. Slow and steady will win this race, so don't worry if your down to 2 pounds or even 1 pound per week--we didn't get into this situation overnight, so it won't be resolved overnight.
As for the results after you input all of your intake. Yes, red means you went over a certain nutrient level. Yesterday, I went over in my Calories, Fat, Carbs, and Sodium, so I have quite a few "red" numbers in there. All (except for the Sodium!!!!) were over by just a little bit, so I'm not particularly bummed out over it. Here's the evidence: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/saintsfanatik
After setting up MFP, did you change your Fat/Protein/Carbohydrate Goals yet (assuming your doing a Keto(genic) or Atkins-style eating plan)?
Feel free to asks anything or for help anytime. This is a very newbie-friendly community.0 -
Thank-you for the helpful explanation, I really appreciate it. My next question is this: Yes I am doing keto and I have no idea what to set my numbers at to lose weight. I have looked all over the internet without much success. I had posted my present weight below and my goal. Thank-you in advance for your help.0

Late reply, I know; hopefully you got it all straightened out. You enter your weight and how much you want to lose per week, and then you can set your macronutrient ratios to 65% calories from fat, 30% from protein and 5% from carbohydrates, and it will tell you, based on your current weight and exercise, how many calories of what you should be eating.0
