Ok folks I need some advice!
My BMR is 1632 and I have my calories set at 1550. I workout daily and burn a range of 300-700 calories daily. I am having a terrible time eating back my exercise calories to net my 1550. I will often net around 1200 which I know is terrible for as much as I am working out and burning. :ohwell:
Any advice to help me out would be great!!!!

Well, I'm in the 'eat at least your BMR daily' camp.
Ways to get there:
nuts
yogurt
cheese
cooking with real oil (not pam)
protein shake
You might also want to work out a bit less, at least give yourself a rest day. Too much cardio can be counter productive. How are you estimating calorie burns? HRM?
You may want to give EM2WL group a try - you eat the same amount everyday, your exercise is built in to your daily calories, and only eat more if you net BMR.
If it were me, I'd try working out a bit less, since you are eating a good diet from what I can see.0 -
I have a HRM for the calorie burn. I may try and get a few more "snacks" in each day to see if I can up my net that way...
I have looked into the EMTWL group and the admin Lucia told me that I need to be eating atleast 1900-2200 calories a day and there is no way that I can do that. Someone on there advised that I need to net 1900 calories a day so I am trying to net the 1550 or 1600 right now and see where that gets me.
I am not sure I can cut back on my workouts. I have become a cardio addict. I just recently started adding in more lifting and I bought the book NROLFW that I plan on reading and starting hopefully mid June.
Thanks for the advice :flowerforyou:0 -
I would agree with going for higher calorie snacks, nuts and nut butters are high cal for small amounts and full of healthy fats so you don't have to eat a ton to get your nutrition in. I often felt like I was forcing myself to eat when I first upped my calories and peanut butter became my new favorite snack! I've settled into a more normal food routine at this point, though, and don't feel it is a struggle anymore. It just takes time0
