7th day/new week or two days off?

Hi everyone, I am new to this board and love the motivation on it! I am curious about how all of you handle the 7th day of each week. Do you take two days off, or start in on the next week? I've been just starting the next week and it seems okay, but since I am only on week 4 it might get harder...is there a "right" way to do it?

This is just my personal routine - I reserve two days a week for boxing, and three for C25K. I might do a day of C25K and then a day of boxing. It's important to take rest days from C25K but that doesn't mean you need to be sedentary. My schedule would look like this:

    Monday: C25K
    Tuesday: Boxing
    Wednesday: Rest
    Thursday: C25K
    Friday: Rest
    Saturday: C25K
    Sunday: Boxing

I haven't been taking two days off so far, but I'm working on improving my stride which made my calves super achey, so I did take the extra rest day this time around to let them rest a little longer. I'm about to start week 4 today.

I would just let your body decide. If you feel up to starting a new week, go for it. If you think you could use the extra day to recover, that's fine too.

There were several times that I took 2, 3, or even 4 days in between runs. A couple times I felt my muscles needed the recovery (once due to another exercise program I did), another couple times, just because I coudn't manage to fit the runs in. In any case, I'd always just pick right back up where I left off. So, I didn't really track things, but the 9 weeks may have taken me 10 or 11 weeks, but it was all good by me. I also ran a bit extra each time, which you aren't really supposed to do, but maybe it helped me when I took the extra day(s) off... overall, I'd say do what works best for you...
